EKI donation to Flood-Affected Local Communities in Bihać

Today's donation story focuses on helping the local communities where we operate. One such area is the municipality of Bihać, where EKI has been doing business for nearly 18 years. Several local communities in this municipality were affected by floods, and due to the significant material damage caused to numerous households, including residential and business properties, they were in urgent need of assistance.

The donation was organized for three local communities: Kulen Vakuf, Pokoj, and Bašaiš-Kralje, which suffered the most damage due to their proximity to the Una River. Residents in these areas were forced to quickly restore their homes and rental spaces, as tourism is quite important in these communities, mainly due to their proximity to Una National Park. EKI provided paint for wallpainting and laundry detergent powder to 20 households in each of the mentioned communities that were in a weaker financial situation.

The handover of the donations took place at the local community centers of Kulen Vakuf, Pokoj, and Bašaiš-Kralje, in the presence of community representatives and EKI staff. We hope that the donated resources helped the residents rebuild their homes more quickly, allowing them to return to normal life and resume their daily activities as soon as possible.
