EKI donation to the Sixth Elementary School, Brčko

Apart from being one of the largest settlements in Brčko, Brezovo Polje is significant because it has, for many years, nurtured the tradition of educating the youth. In the desks of the nine-year school bearing the name "Sixth Elementary School," currently, 98 students attend classes. In addition to students from Brezovo Polje, this school has been attended by students from surrounding villages for generations.

Students today are increasingly attached to mobile phones, computers, and modern technologies, and unfortunately, they give very little importance to sports and physical activities. In such situations, it is necessary to work additionally to encourage their physical activities. For this reason, the school management approached EKI with a request to help them in the equipment procurement process, believing that providing better teaching conditions in their school would increase children's interest in physical education.

One of the problems was that this school had only worn-out requisites and sports equipment, and quality physical education classes were not possible. The donation to this school was successfully realized within the "Socially Responsible Activities" project and consisted of various requisites and sports equipment they identified as most needed.

The school director thanked EKI on behalf of the students and staff for this donation and emphasized that the donated funds would significantly facilitate the teaching process in the future. We hope that the new sports equipment will make physical education classes much more qualitative and interesting for the students.
