Success Stories of Clients – Goran Knežević

Goran Knežević from the village of Ritešić in the municipality of Doboj has always believed that persistence, determination, and faith in oneself and one’s work can lead to great success. Faced with a lack of job opportunities, he decided to try his luck with his family and become "his own boss." In 2014, he built his first greenhouse, planted vegetables, and officially began his journey as an agricultural producer.

Initially, in addition to help from his family members, friends already engaged in similar activities supported him. Over time, Goran expanded his business, moving beyond vegetable production to growing seedlings, flowers, ornamental trees, and more. Today, he employs seasonal workers when needed and has further expanded by registering a farm and opening a store for animal feed and agricultural supplies.

Starting his business and later investing in the necessary equipment and materials was made easier with loans he initially took from a Microcredit Company EKI and subsequently from the Microcredit Foundation EKI.

For Goran and his family, agricultural production and sales are their primary source of income, and as he says, they enable them to lead a completely normal life. Recommendations from neighbors and friends, as well as advertising on social media, help them market their products.
