Success Stories of Clients – Nenad Simeunović

The story of Nenad Simeunović from the village Tišina, in the Šamac municipality, proves that youth and experience can go hand in hand. Despite his young age, Nenad already has a significant business journey behind him. His primary activity is livestock farming, specifically fattening bulls and raising dairy cows and sheep. In addition, he grows cereals on his farm, which he uses for personal needs but also sells to the local community.

His desire and dedication to agriculture stem from a long-standing family tradition. Nenad moved from a nearby village to his grandfather’s farm in Tišina and continued the work his grandfather had been doing for many years. His grandfather remains a great source of support and assistance in the business. Nenad’s wife also helps with the work, while their children, still too young to participate, will likely grow to love agriculture, following in their father’s footsteps and learning about the many activities on their farm.

The family owns all the machinery needed for their work, including tractors, a combine harvester, and a corn picker. Depending on his free time, Nenad occasionally offers land cultivation services to others.

Despite numerous challenges and obstacles over the years, as well as the generally difficult state of agriculture, this family has no trouble selling their products and manages to operate successfully.

With the help of loans from the Microcredit Company EKI, they purchased livestock, addressed various needs, and most recently acquired new machinery. Speaking about his collaboration with EKI, Nenad says: “I am extremely satisfied with the cooperation because EKI is always there when I need them. Without EKI and their loans, we certainly wouldn’t have what we have today. I’m also very happy with the EKI Business Club, of which I am a member.”

Nenad is an example to other young people, showing that every effort, hard work, and dedication will not go unnoticed and will undoubtedly pay off.
