EKI Donation to PI Mixed Secondary School Magaj

This year, PI Mixed Secondary School Maglaj celebrates 73 years of existence. Its story began on September 1, 1952, when it was established as the School of Students in Industry. Over the years, the school changed its name and educational approach, and since the opening of the new school building in 1980, it has continued to be a place of learning, growth, and friendship for many generations of students.

A major challenge for the school came with the 2014 floods, which destroyed the entire school inventory, particularly the workshops. Nevertheless, despite these difficulties, the school quickly recovered and continued to provide quality education.

Today, PI Mixed Secondary School Maglaj is attended by 476 students, guided by 74 dedicated teachers. Students are trained in various professions: electrical technicians, economic and mechanical technicians, traffic and chemical technicians, salespersons, locksmiths and welders, hairdressers, and garment workers.

The Microcredit Organization EKI recognized the importance of enhancing education and supported the school through a donation of:

• an air conditioning unit, significantly improving classroom working conditions

• a multifunctional device (printer, scanner, and copier) to facilitate the preparation of teaching materials

• two TV sets, helping students absorb knowledge more easily through visual learning methods

The school administration and staff expressed sincere gratitude to the Microcredit Organization EKI, emphasizing that such support is a true example of social responsibility and investment in the education of young people.
