EKI Donation to the Public Elementary School “Kulin Ban”, Visoko

The Public Elementary School “Kulin Ban” dates back to 1909, when construction of the school began in Visoko. The school officially started operating in the 1910/1911 school year and for more than a century has stood as a symbol of knowledge, tradition, and continuity in education.

In the 2024/2025 school year, the school is attended by 755 students organized into 36 classes. Although the school successfully fulfills its educational mission, the equipment of teaching facilities is only partial, and some classrooms do not have modern teaching tools such as TV sets, smart boards, and projectors.

A donation from the EKI Microcredit Organization, in the form of a TV set, directly contributes to improving the teaching process and creating better working conditions. Particular benefits will be felt by lower-grade students, for whom visual content will enable easier, simpler, and more engaging learning, in line with modern educational standards.

The donation is also of great importance for the needs of the “Protection of the Cultural Heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina” school club, further emphasizing its multiple value. This is a positive story with a strong public impact, especially considering the historical significance of the school, as well as the fact that a significant number of EKI’s loan clients come from this local community.

The Principal of the Public Elementary School “Kulin Ban,” Sabina Jašarević, accepted the donation with great appreciation, highlighting its importance for students, teachers, and the entire school community. Through this gesture, EKI once again demonstrated its social responsibility, commitment to the local community, and readiness to invest in the future—in knowledge, young generations, and enduring values.
