EKI Donation to the Public Institution for Preschool Education “Sokolac”

The “Sokolac” kindergarten is the only preschool institution in the municipality of Sokolac and has played a key role for more than four decades in caring for, educating, and nurturing the youngest members of our community. Over the years, the kindergarten has grown into a safe and stimulating environment where 30 dedicated employees work today, while 190 children enjoy full-day care on a daily basis.

In the past two years, the institution has significantly improved its capacities. The number of kindergarten groups has increased, and at the same time, the number of employees has grown, which has enabled higher-quality work and even better conditions for the children.

A particularly important contribution to further improvement came from the socially responsible activities project of the Microcredit Foundation EKI, which donated LED panels to the kindergarten. This valuable donation solved the longstanding problem of inadequate indoor lighting, making the kindergarten rooms brighter, more functional, and more pleasant for the children.

The kindergarten’s management and staff expressed their gratitude to the Microcredit Foundation EKI. They emphasized that the new lighting will greatly contribute to improving working conditions and provide children with a more beautiful, safer, and more comfortable environment in which they can grow, learn, and develop.
